I Have Wellies

Mucky mucky Saturday weather - woke up to grey skies and drizzle, anyway Claire and I decided to go into town anyway, partly for a bit of a day out and partly because we needed supplies for the house. So we headed off to Middleton, popped into the Farmer's Market and then visited the fishmonger and butchery too rather than heading straight over to Tesco's - the Ballymaloe Way seems to be taking root - and it was fab, got some wicked things for weekend dinner, more salmon which is just my favourite thing and about the only thing I've found so far that is less expensive than home, most other things would bring a tear (and in some cases, a swimming pool) to your eye especially if you multiply by 10 to get to South African Rand, to be honest it's best just not to do that and rather live in a fog of ignorance. Do you know what would help - if the exchange rate could be something fiddly like 12.3, multiplying by 10 is just too easy and even when I try not to do it, it just happens................

When we got home, my wellies had arrived, YAY and what brilliant timing because it was chucking it down properly - aren't they great?

They don't quite fit in with all the other wellies here, far too new and clean so I'm going to take them for a virgin stroll this afternoon, wonder them through a few puddles and after that they should hopefully look the part.............................

By the way, soft boiled egg and toast for breakfast and that 6 minute rule is absolutely bang on - runny yolk but no slimy stuff and everything sat on the toast just it was supposed to, good brekkie.
